It’s safe to say that COVID-19 has truly affected how we do life and how we conduct business forever. As we continue to navigate the uncertainty, many areas are lifting restrictions and allowing business owners to open their doors again. With many business owners taking advantage to open again, it’s important to make sure your customers know that you have THEM & their safety in mind first.
How can you do this? Create your safety plan & share it with your customers!
Sharing your plan creates understanding.
There are customers who will welcome your establishment opening again with open arms, but others may not be comfortable with the idea. To ensure you cover all bases, share what your company is doing to ensure safety amongst customers.
While it may not be a big deal to some, sharing this information could potentially ease the anxiety of others who may want the break to get out, yet aren’t sure what measures you’ve taken to keep them and your establishment safe.
Sharing your plan communicates clarity.
It’s one thing to walk into an establishment and see a few people wearing masks and a few people doing their thing; it’s another to have it laid out clear, cut & dry so there are no questions as to what the expectations are.
What are your policies? Will you require all customers to wear a mask? Social distance themselves? What do you require your staff to do? What is your cleaning plan for items customers commonly use & touch? Communicating what the expectations are for your establishment will help answer any questions as to how your business will conduct business.
Sharing your plan shows compassion.
With lifted restrictions, many are eager to get back to normal. However, with a COVID on the rise in a reported 20 states, there are many who are still using extreme caution. Sharing a plan of action shows that you are aware & exercising caution, but you are willing go above and beyond to customers that you care about their well-being & want to make them feel as safe as possible during this transition.
